About Tucker

In February of 2015 I got pregnant, it was an extremely healthy pregnancy. The unthinkable happened when I woke up one morning, a day shy of 29 weeks, in complete pain. My placenta was tearing from the wall and I had no idea. I went to the hospital where they were unable to figure out the cause of my pain until it was too late.

I would need to deliver my son and find a mortuary. I wrapped my head around it and got through the next 24 hours because of the grace of my friends.

Tucker was born at a whopping 3.5 lbs, he looked so much like his older brother. Life couldn’t stop though, not for a mom with a 4.5 and 2.5 year old at home.

In dealing with this loss I decided to pump milk to donate to a family in need. I could find my silver lining in helping others.

In doing fundraising with friends we discovered cooling units that allowed babies to stay in the room with their parents after a stillbirth. I became determined to place as many as I could in various hospitals. The quest to do so will never end

  1. Thank you so much Rebecca for feeding Madeline! I can never thank you enough. Thank you for also being such a wonderful friend. I look forward to helping you establish Cuddle Cots in memory of Tucker all over California. You’re one amazing Mama!

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about your loss of Tucker, no Mama should have to experience this. You’ll be in my thoughts. /u/dubstepdinosaur
